Auto camping Sea of Azov. At sea in tents? Yes easily

The camping is located away from the village of Kuchugury in the Temryuk region (Krasnodar Territory) and occupies a significant area on the coast of the Azov Sea. Camping provides group recreation in a quiet, peaceful place for a reasonable fee. Staying on the site differs from other ways of living in that a person is constantly in an open space, which has a beneficial effect on his health and the body as a whole. The territory of the “Azov Coast” has all the important infrastructure elements for a comfortable stay - a dining room, a kitchen, toilets, showers and washbasins, staff and administration.

Description of the campsite

The campsite is happy to welcome campers of any age. The staff will confidently help accommodate both a group of young people and a group of older generations. Families with children should not worry, we have plenty of space for them to play and have fun, and there will almost always be new acquaintances and peers with whom you can make friends. You can stay at the campsite with your own tents, or you can get them from the administration. The tents provided can accommodate 2 people or more.

Cost of accommodation in a campsite per day (2018 prices are indicated in rubles)

Dining room at the campsite

“Azov Coast” offers the services of a compact dining room. All menu dishes are designed and prepared by professional chefs. Moreover, you can live not at the camping site, but come to meals. For vacationers on site, different options for providing meals are possible - either three meals a day or one ready-made breakfast, lunch or dinner (to choose from). The main thing is to warn the cook in advance about your intentions so that he can optimally calculate the number of servings and prepare them. Normal cafeteria opening hours:

Holidays in comfortable hotels will never compare with what a tourist experiences when spending the night in tents under the stars. If you dream of the delights of a “wild” trip at sea, then our article will be very useful. There are plenty of opportunities for such trips in vast Russia, but today the focus is on the Sea of Azov.

Camping is primarily a budget tourism option. But there is one more undeniable advantage. Incorrigible romantics are the only way in the modern world that they can come into contact with nature and spend a few days away from civilization.

Reasonable compromise

Why did we decide to consider the Sea of Azov? Camping provides a huge number of options because almost every river or lake can become your home for several days or weeks. On the one hand, this is true, but no one guarantees your safety. In addition, you need to carry a lot of supplies with you. In addition, you will have to look for a long time for a convenient place with a sandy beach and a bottom suitable for swimming.

The Sea of Azov is free from these inconveniences. Camping here is comfortable and safe. Everything on the territory of which the tent city is located is reliably guarded by special services, which means you can sleep peacefully. If you don’t have a tent or sleeping bag, you can rent all the equipment, which means you can arrive here quite lightly.

If living in a tent doesn’t seem comfortable enough for you, there is always the option of moving to a house. It's the same with nutrition. The romance of making fires is very good, but if it’s raining outside, you can calmly have lunch in a canteen or cafe.

So, it’s decided, let’s go to the Sea of Azov! Camping on its banks is a very popular holiday activity.

"Wild" holiday

The Sea of Azov is small, relatively shallow and warm. All shores are built up with numerous bases, closed beaches, and campsites. However, there are still places to park a car and a tent. In this case, all of the above inconveniences remain. The beaches are not deserted, which means you cannot move far from your tent, since there is no one to guard your property. However, such campsites on the Sea of Azov are also popular because they are practically free. All your expenses are gasoline and food.

Autocamping "Rest"

This is one of the largest bases in the city. It is located in the station. Golubitskaya, Kurortnaya street. A stunning coastline awaits you, warm and clean. Sand strewn with shells will definitely appeal to children. Campsites on the Sea of Azov are highly comfortable, and Otdykh was no exception. There are 40 summer cottages on the territory. And between them there remains a large area, shaded by spreading trees, where you can park vehicles. For lovers of camping, there is a wide strip near the beach. Here you can enjoy the sound of the surf and huge stars.

Oasis Beach

And we are moving further along the sunny coast. The next campsite on the shores of the Azov Sea, which attracted our attention, is “Oasis”. It is located in protected areas of the Slavyansky district, near the village of Achuevo. This is one of the oldest settlements in the Krasnodar region. The beach has been open since 2007. Since then, it has become a favorite vacation spot for a huge number of Russians. At your service there is a clean beach and a warm sea, which you will remember for a long time in winter.

Car camping gives you the opportunity to stay comfortably even for the whole summer. The camping site is well equipped. Here you can rent all the tourist equipment. In addition, you will have at your disposal a barbecue and an outlet, a table and benches, that is, everything for a comfortable rest. Renting a tent will cost 300 rubles per day. Today, the so-called hut-tents have become the most popular. They are locked, which means you can be calm about your property.

Camping "Cossack"

And we will continue to choose a place that will provide an ideal holiday with tents on the Azov Sea. There are campsites for every taste and color. There is another corner for romantics. By the way, there are plenty of options for living here. You can stay in a cottage or choose the most beautiful place on the beach. It's much cheaper and more interesting in a tent. The campsite provides places for making fires. There are also outdoor toilets and showers.

There is Wi-Fi throughout the campsite, so feel free to take your tablets and phones with you. The beach here is very pleasing; it is perfectly clean, equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers, and showers. A special swimming area has been prepared for children, from where they cannot swim into the depths. This is very convenient: parents can relax and not worry about their kids. There is a sauna on site, as well as sports equipment rental.

Tent city "Delta"

This is truly the best campsite on the Sea of Azov. The photo shows us a stunning beach with spreading trees where you can set up tents. Only seven meters separate from the sea. In the evenings it’s so good to listen to the sound of the waves! The conditions will pleasantly surprise you. Vacationers in the tent camp can get drinking water, use the shower and toilet for free. The entire territory is under protection. The places are delimited into sectors and equipped with electricity. For car camping, a site 4 meters wide and 8-14 meters long is allocated.

On the territory there are showers and toilets, a medical center, children's and sports grounds, and a dance floor. There are special places for making fires. Staying here requires obeying general rules. In particular, drinking alcoholic beverages is prohibited. More precisely, they can be consumed, but in moderation. You cannot make noise here from 22:00 to 07:00, so as not to disturb others. This is truly one of the best campsites.

"Tent City"

Another option for a great holiday. This campsite is located on Fedotova Spit. Directly opposite is the recreation center "Otrada". Tent sites are available on the camp site. Within walking distance from it is the Sea of Azov. Recreation (camping is considered the most affordable option today) is quite comfortable here, but without frills. At some distance from the tents there are two shared showers and toilets. Accommodation areas are located in the shade of trees. There is light here, process water is supplied, that is, in general, everything that is necessary is present. Residents of neighboring villages come to the base every day. They bring homemade baked goods, vegetables and fruits. You can go to a cafe for lunch.

Camping "Fortuna"

This is one of the new ones created in 2011. A true classic on a budget camping holiday. Nothing extra - just you, a clean beach and an endless blue surface. The base is located on the coast of the Azov Sea, on the Peresyp spit, 79.

The coastal strip is only 5 minutes at a slow pace. There are all conditions for a pleasant holiday. This is a clean and wide beach, sun loungers and shade canopies, a children's playground.

It is difficult to find a more convenient campsite on the Sea of Azov. Reviews fully confirm that you can have a very good time here and very inexpensively. There is a market and shops nearby where you can buy everything you need. Homemade meals are regularly delivered to the base.

Camping on the Sea of Azov “Summer”

This wonderful recreation center is located very close to the village of Peresyp. It is surrounded by the sea and estuaries and has a special microclimate. It’s a great place to relax with your family, restoring your health and stocking up on strength for the year ahead. The air is saturated with oxygen, tiny particles of sodium chloride, bromine and iodine. The beach is sandy and shell. The sea coast in these places is shallow, the water warms up quickly. During the swimming season, its average temperature is 28 degrees.

Romance lovers have the opportunity to rent tents and other camping equipment. The base is very clean and cozy. Drinking alcohol is not encouraged here; the administration is for cultural recreation. If you are traveling with children, it is difficult to find a better option.

"Arabat Arrow"

Another popular campsite in the south of Ukraine, reviews of which are almost impossible to find. By arriving by car and staying in a tent, you will save the family budget, and the children will certainly enjoy the opportunity to spend the night under the stars.

A special feature of the Arabat Spit is the absence of trees. In fact, it is a huge beach more than 100 km long. There is a hot spring not far from the campsite, which will be a good opportunity to get new experiences.

You will have to take absolutely everything with you: tents and sleeping bags, folding tables and chairs, as well as flashlights, blankets and, of course, mosquito spray. Think about it right away, because there are more comfortable campsites on the Sea of Azov. You can stay anywhere with tents, but the amount of entertainment will vary significantly. There are few traces of civilization here, but there is an opportunity to go for medical procedures. Just 4 km away is the source of Sevash black mud for joints. You can enjoy the procedure and improve your health. Another 4 km, and in front of you is a source of blue cosmetic mud. An excellent product for face and body skin. There is also a healing spring called silver. Be sure to stock up on water. Another 4 km and you are at the hot spring.

Comfortable stay in Stozhary

Judging by the reviews, this is truly the best campsite on the Sea of Azov. Kirillovka is a unique balneological resort; here you can relax, but also gain strength and improve your health. The entire complex consists of more than 300 recreation centers. Camping "Stozhary" is located in a cozy place on Kosa Peresyp Street. When you get here you understand that heaven on earth definitely exists.

The tent camp is located in a green, well-kept area. The infrastructure allows you to feel at one with nature without losing the feeling of comfort. While living in a tent camp, you can visit nearby cafes and restaurants, discos and nightclubs. For the youngest members of the family, there are children's playgrounds and attractions, a permanent amusement park, a water park, a zoo and a dolphinarium nearby. A lot of impressions, and all this for a reasonable price. Many tourists emphasize that a standard hotel in many resorts will cost much more. Thus, by saving on renting a cottage, you can spend money on entertainment.

Instead of a conclusion

The Sea of Azov is the best option for a family holiday. Here you will completely escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in peace. Wherever you stay, shallow and very warm seas, soft sand and relaxing holiday days await you. You can plan your vacation in detail. If you want romance, come to the wild beach. The option of cooking over a fire and washing the pots afterwards is not attractive - go to the dining room for lunch.

There are campsites with no signs of civilization, as well as those that are sensitive to the comfort of their tourists and provide every little detail for their convenience. The developed infrastructure of the area will not let you or your children get bored. The air and water temperatures will definitely please the whole family. For every tourist there is entertainment to suit every taste. Plan in advance which places you want to visit to avoid disappointment later. Almost every recreation center will offer a number of excursions. Their cost is low, and you can get a lot of impressions. What your vacation will be like is up to you to decide. The main thing is that it is safe, calm and memorable.

I would like to hear advice on this vacation.
I would like to visit the Azov and Black Seas with a car or a tent.
5 days there, 5 days there.
Maybe someone knows good places in the Sea of Azov area and in the Gelendzhik area.
Etc. This will be your first trip with tents, so please advise what should I take with me?

Good afternoon This season we have been to Taman twice, both times we stayed at the Zolotoy Bereg camping site, it is located between the village of Golubitskaya and the village of Peresyp.
What I liked:
1. Quite clean sea and a good beach
2. There are trees on the shore, you can put a tent right under them.
3. There is a shower and toilet on site
4. Nice staff.
What to take? It all depends on the size of your trunk and your needs.
Of the mandatory ones, this is mosquito spray, and from my own experience, they are only afraid of “OFF” - regular, not extreme.

I also considered camping options, since I have experience driving a car to the sea, but so far they have refused. After reading the reviews. Those campsites have a lot of problems, I’ll say this: upon arrival, many of them are not directly visible, but appear at night and in the morning. These could be: mosquitoes, unsanitary conditions in the bushes, lack or interruptions of hot water and the ability to take a shower, very noisy neighbors. Beaches are also different, and entry into the water is also different. There is a huge campsite in Lermontovo - their sandy beach looks perfect from the highway - but the sand there is bad, with small sharp stones, and the water in the sea is always opaque due to the river flowing in right there. The campsites between Betta and Krinitsa were praised. I also liked one that I saw while walking north of Olginka, there’s even a tiny pier there.

Hi all. In a couple of days we want to go to the sea to relax with a tent. We are considering options to get to Yeysk, can anyone point me to a good campsite in that direction, otherwise this is our first such trip. We have our own tent.

Marial

Prices for accommodation, 150 rub. per car per day + 100 rub. for placing a tent, we had our own tent, so I don’t know about rent

The question arose, are these all prices regardless of the size of the tent and the number of people? We are 4 adults and 1 child traveling, a large tent plus a car, an ordinary sedan.

And also, I would like a clean sandy beach and some shade within walking distance...
Experienced people, do you know such a place?

The question arose, are these all prices regardless of the size of the tent and the number of people? We are 4 adults and 1 child traveling, a large tent plus a car, an ordinary sedan.

The size of the tent and the number of people do not affect the price.

In Taman, at the Zolotoy Bereg camping site, there are trees on the shore, i.e. there is sufficient shade and a large, clean sandy beach.

The name of the campsite between Golubitskaya and Peresyp is “Golden Beach”, not “Golden Beach”. :)

There is a “Golden Beach” campsite, you pass it and after about 500 meters there is a “Golden Beach” campsite, which I wrote about, but we didn’t like “Golden Beach” and we didn’t stop there.

We have arrived))) more precisely (((it’s better at sea)))
Personally, I really liked it!
We stopped at a campsite near the Breeze recreation center, although we didn’t find the name of the campsite itself, but we did find a phone number.
Let’s talk about the prices right away, the price is 200 rubles per car per day. how many tents you put up and how many people it doesn’t matter, you only pay for the car. There are toilets on site, fresh water (we didn’t drink it. We bought drinking water at the Dolzhanskaya station, someone seemed to boil it and drink it, we decided not to risk it) water is poured for free at the entrance. there is no shower, but at the recreation center, it’s not far on foot, although depending on where you stay, there is a hot shower, but from 18-22 the price is 30 rubles per person. A very decent shower, we washed in it once, the rest of the time we heated the water in the sun!
There are benches on the beach. even 1 time, on Saturday, sun loungers were brought for free, all this was fenced, there were buoys in the water, lifeguards were working, again, not everywhere. Let me explain right away, we stopped in 1 forest palace, since we arrived at 3 in the morning (or at night) and didn’t really choose, we just put up a tent and fell asleep (we drove there for 24 hours). Just a piece of advice, it’s better to stay in the second and third forest belts, everything is the same there. There are fewer locals and Rostov residents, and on weekends they are very noisy, stopping right in the 1st forest belt. although if this doesn’t bother you, then... in short, it’s up to you to decide.
What's honestly bright and strong is not even the locals and Rostov people, but the wind. which for 2 weeks did not blow, according to me, only for 3-4 days, and flies, and the latter were more strained. but you can fight them too. using dichlorvos!
more about the sea, the shore is shell rock, there is sand in the water. you can fish, again for amateurs. If you go fishing, for a catch, the fishing is so-so, about 10 of them were caught in a few hours. but on a fishing rod, what does it have to do with the very shore. But!!! With bait, during the same time, about 25 pieces were fed up (this is for 1 fishing rod) so... vacationers are not a hindrance, the fish is delicious, they fed on it for several days, they salted it and brought it with them)))
and I almost forgot, there are also barbecues on the territory, so if you forgot, don’t be upset)))

About the traffic police...on the Moscow-Dolzhanskaya-Moscow highway...they stopped me once, and then I crossed a solid line in front of the cop, he smiled and said that it’s really not worth it to rush around like that, and issued a fine of 300 rubles. showed me the way, asked about the sea, wished me a safe journey and we left, it was all outside Yeisk, they didn’t even look at me at all, you drive according to the rules and... beauty, on the highway 100-120, in the city 60-70. ..and great, no one cares about you.
but the Rostov drivers... they didn’t show off, they are rude, they see the license plate is not local, they cut it rough, they don’t let them through, then they wonder why they don’t let them through in Moscow... you need to be more polite to people!!!
But you quickly get used to everything!
The conclusion is, everything is great, next year we are going to go there too)))! and we recommend it to everyone!

Last year I visited a campsite on the Black Sea coast, Gelendzhik district, Krinitsa village. An unforgettable place! There are several campsites there, but I liked the campsite by the sea more, called the pear garden. The beach is large and spacious, clean sea, various kinds of entertainment. Right in the middle of the beach a river flows into the sea, so you can go splash around in the fresh water))) Provided all conditions (shower, toilet, water, if necessary, and electricity will be provided if you have an extension cord with you). At prices of 100 rubles - per car + 50 rubles for each person. The place is very beautiful, and I advise all lovers of such recreation to visit it. P.s. - everyone have a nice holiday at sea!!!)))

In June, we spent 2 whole weeks on vacation on the Sea of Azov (Kuchugury station). The camping was called "Azov Coast", we found it on the Internet here: www.avton.k66.ru. Car parking there was free, per person they paid 80 rubles per day. We had our own tent, we put it where we wanted, because... there were few people. We cooked the food ourselves over a fire, bought food in a store - there are two of them nearby (you can walk there). The campsite had its own canteen, but we didn't eat there. Fresh water was provided at the campsite for free. The sea was about 20 meters from the tent. The beach is quite clean and sandy. I also liked the sea - not deep and warm. There were no jellyfish or snakes there. After the sea we rinsed off in the shower. Water for the shower was supplied according to a schedule from a well - a little cold, but in principle normal. When there was a desire to wash in hot water, we went to the sauna. There was a cafe "Breeze" nearby, in addition to the cafe there is a store and a sauna. There was a toilet on the campsite, it was a wooden house with a hole in the floor. It was obvious that they washed it every morning and sprinkled it with bleach. In general, the camping area there is quite large and not fenced. But we didn’t need a fence. The place where we stood was fenced on almost all sides by trees and bushes - a narrow path led to our clearing. So why the hell would you just come up to us at night. There is quite a lot of all kinds of vegetation on the territory, all kinds of southern trees, such as cherry plum and wild plum. There was also mulberry, the children constantly ate it and walked around grimy. In the distance there were walnut trees - the locals said that they ripen in the fall. There were also blackberry bushes in places. It’s better not to climb into these bushes if you don’t want to ruin your skin. As night approached, all sorts of hedgehogs began to crawl in the grass. We caught them a couple of times to show them to the children - they were delighted. Cell phones and laptops were allowed to charge for free in the cafeteria. There was also Wi-Fi there, which worked quite stably, although the owners asked us not to download large video files from the Internet. I had my own megaphone modem with me - I didn’t catch a damn thing. We didn't need electricity. We saw other cars with trailers (like a mobile home) approaching - they were connected to electricity. We went for a walk along the shore - it was very refreshing. We also walked on mud, you need to walk along the beach towards the center for an hour and a half or two. There is some kind of radon lake there, plus the mud itself nearby. Everyone climbs into it and crawls around in it like piglets - a free show. We also climbed and took a lot of funny photos. Overall the impression was quite favorable. We recommended this campsite to friends, who went there at the beginning of August. I talked with them on Skype, they say that they are full of watermelons and melons - it’s almost out of their ears. Peaches are also very cheap there - it turns out that peach orchards are nearby, right next to the village. We also tried wine there - like Phanagoria is close. It’s better not to take wine in the center of the village - it’s obvious that it’s made from powder. We consulted with the owner of the campsite, she suggested where to get normal wine and at a normal price. We liked the wine Black Doctor and also the cognac Henesy - when we went back, we stocked up on it and will treat our friends at home.

And in the center of Kuchugury there is a cafe “Priboy”, where you can eat and dance to live music. We went there three times, there were about 8-10 of us. We left there in the evening at about 9 o'clock and stayed there until two or three o'clock in the morning. We didn’t take alcohol, so on average our food cost per person was 250-300 rubles. Those who sang were different every evening - sometimes a girl, sometimes a man, sometimes a girl and a man together. One evening a man sang, his voice was somewhat similar to Serov’s - I really liked it. At the beginning, when we arrived, there were folding tables. Then the people pulled up and it became a full house. Many people came with children - everyone had fun. By three o'clock in the morning almost everyone had left, only the most persistent remained - about 15 people. There is also something like a park in Kuchugury - it's called "Emelya". As I understand it, it is located on the territory of some children's camp. Entrance there is free. We went there once with our children. At 21:00 there is a disco for children on the street in front of the big stage. It lasts until 23:00, then lights out. There are no slightly drunk adults there; security guards walk around the perimeter of the dancers, keeping order. Our boys were slow at first, but then they finally decided to invite local girls to dance a couple of slow dances. It was funny to look at them - like adults!

I can recommend camping in the village. Kabardian. We recently went on holiday and enjoyed it. Located on the edge of the village in a hilly area on the seashore, 30-50 meters away. There is a lot of greenery, and therefore shade, if you manage to stand under it. In mid-August there were a lot of people until the 20th, after which the excitement slowly subsided. Underfoot there is earth, grass and in some places concrete under unfinished construction. Toilets, washbasins, showers, cold water, refrigerators, 220 V, barbecues for rent - everything is available. The administration - several nice guys - collects fees in the evenings and sometimes helps you get settled. 200 rubles per day. from a machine and a person. The beach is pebbles, the bottom is pebbles and stones, uncomfortable. There are changing rooms, benches, awnings, piers, trash cans. The shops nearby are expensive, markets are nearby, Magnets and the center are far away. market, but you can get there. Nearby there is a sports ground, an embankment and many canteens. The residents of the campsite were reasonable, they didn’t hear any noise, only from the embankment from the cafe. We are planning to vacation here again.

In July 2010, our family, consisting of two parents and two sons, 6 and 9 years old, took a trip from Tyumen to the south of Russia in a Citroen Berlingo. This is already the second trip to the seas, 3000 km long: a three-day journey to the sea and accommodation on the shore of the latter in a tent. Two years ago we settled on the shore of the Azov Sea in the village of Golubitskaya, this year about 70 km further on the shore of the Black Sea near the village of Veselovka not far from Taman. Since I didn’t write about my first trip, in this story I will sometimes compare these two places.

Road to the Sea of Azov

On a trip, we usually leave from the dacha, so as not to leave the loaded car on the street (in order to avoid minor troubles and delay the vacation) at about 5 am, and throughout the entire journey we keep a kind of log of the distance traveled. The “magazine” looks like this: sheets lined with columns: time, mileage, notes. We make notes every hour, in the notes we write down the points we pass, gas stations, stops, meals. We do this, most likely, so as not to get bored on a long journey, and also to keep track of the money spent.

The first day turns out to be the longest on our journey; we stop after 16 hours at a hotel outside Samara in the area of Chapaevsk.

In general, from traveling long distances, we realized that you can always find accommodation of suitable price and quality near large cities. But it’s better to do it early, before sunset, to have more choice. Prices for a 4-bed room from 1600 rubles (shower and toilet in the hallway).

We ended the second day of our last trip in Volgograd, since we have relatives living there. A good reason to see each other, and we need to relax. But this year they went on vacation to the village of Veselovka during the Black Time and invited us to their place. We didn't care and agreed.

Regarding the road, I want to say that in central Russia, which we pass on the 2nd day from Samara to Volgograd, the road is simply disgusting: there are holes, there are crazy ruts from trucks left on the hot asphalt. There is simply no way to go fast. Of course, there are small sections of decent road, but, as is expected in Russia, they end quickly. I, of course, understand that in our country asphalt is subject to a wide range of temperatures throughout the year: frost, snow and heat above 40 degrees. But in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the temperature range is also quite large, and the roads are good. And yet, in Kyrgyzstan in the summer, heavy vehicles are prohibited from driving on the roads during the daytime, only after sunset, so as not to damage the roads. They sleep during the day and travel at night. And at first I was surprised why there were few cars on the Kyrgyz road. But no one here thought about this: the road is good, the drivers are not driving at maximum speed, and the accident rate is lower.

And many are afraid to drive a car because of large extortions on the roads by traffic police officers. Do not be afraid. Either the anti-corruption measures helped or something else, but traffic police officers don’t just stop you, only for violations, but there are no fewer of them on the roads. Over the course of 6,000 km there and back, we were stopped 3 times and only for violations. I want to say that three years ago we were stopped 15 times on the way to the sea alone and were simply being nagged, like, “Didn’t you see the speed limit sign at the cafe?” or brazenly “Your children are not wearing seat belts. Shall we argue? It is clear that this was extortion; I heard in hotels that drivers paid 5-7 thousand just to leave. But again, in 2010 there was nothing like this.

P. VESELOVKA - a great place for a seaside holiday with a tent

The village is located near Taman, on one side there is the Black Sea, on the other there is an estuary where lovers of windsurfing and other water sports train.

BEACH next to a place on the sea with a tent

Wide, fine sand underfoot, but there are large stones. I asked the kids within reach to collect rocks and they placed them around the fencing type tent. At the entrance to the sea there is a narrow strip of stones. This circumstance upset me at first, but then I found a place where the pebbles lay in a 30-centimeter strip, the rest was sand, and there were no stones in the sea either. I liked this place because tourists did not cluster within a meter of each other, but were dispersed 20–50 meters from each other. On the Sea of Azov, people are more crowded; on weekends there are generally a lot of people and noisy, as locals come from nearby cities and towns just to relax and “have a blast.” They don’t care that people live in tents; everyone has their own goals. Therefore, from the point of view of tourist population, I liked the Black Sea coast more.

I like car trips because, firstly, we are very mobile, we can always go out and buy food and go on excursions. Secondly, we can take everything we need on a trip, since the car is large and we are not particularly limited. In addition, on the way back we buy local wines and fruits and even take some of them home. Thirdly, for a family of 4 people it is quite economical compared to other modes of transport.

What to take with you for a seaside holiday with a tent

On a long-distance trip, it is better to have a cooler bag with you so that the food is fresh at least for the first day. We take on the road a lot of mineral water, juices in small bags or bottles, as they say “at a time,” drinking yoghurts, baked goods, “hunter” type sausages, and sliced cheese in vacuum packaging. Of course, children need sweets in the form of chewing candies and toffees, and we chew them too. Vegetables and fruits on the road somehow don’t go well in our family. Of course, on the second or third day we spend time at a large supermarket, where we replenish our supplies. Sometimes we have dinner at the campsites where we stay overnight and always have breakfast there, it’s convenient and you don’t spend any extra time on it. In the cafe we try to take something less susceptible to spoilage: freshly cooked sausages, scrambled eggs. So far no one has been poisoned.

This year we were well prepared:

  • A large new two-room tent, each room has a large air mattress, pillow, bedding with elastic, padding polyester blankets. We took with us a cheap grill from METRO, found a permanent place for it, assembled it and left it for the next tourists, because it is made of thin metal, charred, rusted in places, there is no point in dragging it home, but it may still be useful for vacationers.
  • A set of folding furniture: a table and 4 stools around it. It is made of plastic and metal fasteners. It folds very conveniently into one suitcase, but is not strong enough, especially in the sand, since the legs of the stools sink into the sand and diverge in different directions. And apparently they were designed to weigh up to 60–70 kg, but they broke under my husband. It’s good for children, but for adults, we’ll probably buy a folding chair in the future.
  • A folding plastic table for the kitchen, on which we clean and cut fish, place meat or chicken on a grill, etc. It washes well and we don’t spoil the main table with “dirty” preparations.
  • We use a stove powered by small gas cartridges in the morning and at lunchtime; we light a fire only in the evening. On the Azov coast, firewood is problematic, so many people carry it with them or take coal. On the Black Sea there is a lot of cut down bushes and various pieces of wood.
  • Nice flashlight.
  • A plastic basin in which I wash dishes. And you don’t need to take any “chemicals” for washing, everything can be easily washed with sand or ash, and the sea has plenty of both.

Holidays on the seashore in tents have many advantages, although the presence of disadvantages cannot be denied. But as you can understand from my stories, our family is positive, so we try to ignore the negatives.

Advantages of a holiday at sea with a tent:

  • the sea is always nearby, when you wake up, you dive or another option, take a swim before going to bed, it’s dark and scary. In our childhood and youth, we also traveled as “savages”, rented housing and walked several kilometers in the heat to the sea. There was still a way back ahead. You also had to go to the market in the heat to buy groceries or to the canteen and stand in line.
  • There are no problems with food. We take tea, coffee, condensed milk, instant porridge with us, buy eggs and sausages in stores, and always have fruit. In the morning we fry eggs, alternate with porridge, you can always buy warm delicious pies from the women right on the beach. At lunch we cook soups, sausages, and eat fruit. And from 6 o'clock, because it gets dark early, we begin preparations for dinner. Every day, as a family or individually, we went to a store or market and bought food for only one day. We bought fruits at bazaars along the road, straight from the garden, you can always try and compare. We only tried 4 types of peaches, 3 types of melons, 2 types of watermelons and 3 types of grapes. Some varieties are juicier, others are sweeter. The choice is huge and what is most pleasing is that they were not transported green across half of Russia, everything was freshly picked. We always dined on food cooked “on the fire”; we really liked the “mullet”, a juicy fish with a small number of bones. As a side dish, we boil or bake new potatoes, fresh or grilled vegetables.
  • in the evenings we burned a fire, looked at the stars, sang songs, and talked. Modern children like such evenings. I think that in our fast-paced times we don’t talk to each other much, everything is on the run, but here nothing gets in the way. And these are two advantages.
  • The children took a break from the TV and computer, and it’s not harmful for us adults either.
  • The sea is beautiful: warm, but in this place it is rarely calm. But both children and we love to jump “on the waves.” It was this excitement that prevented us from making full use of the “watercraft” we had; they flew away and then sailed away. By the way, we put up a small children’s tent from Ikea for them and put mattresses, armbands, circles, etc. in there, so as not to catch them later all over the beach.
  • in the mornings we watched several times how dolphins fished, and they did it in groups of 2-3 dolphins and very close to the shore, about ten meters away. It's so interesting to watch how they drive the fish back and forth. Remembering the dirty, dare I say “smelly” shore near Anapa, which is located tens of kilometers from Taman, it is surprising and pleasant that there are still dolphins.

Disadvantages of holidaying at sea with a tent:

  • Oddly enough, there are mosquitoes on the Black Sea coast near Taman and there are quite a lot of them. On the second day we had to buy a “sprinkler” from them. There are mosquitoes there, since there is an estuary with fresh water very close. There were no mosquitoes on the Sea of Azov.
  • the water in Cherny is very salty, so you need to constantly wash yourself after swimming, and fresh water is supplied at a certain time and many are packed in large canisters, you have to stand in line. If you don’t wash, your skin will burn severely, resulting in blisters. On the Sea of Azov, the water does not have such a large amount of salt and you do not need to wash yourself so often.
  • For those who don't like to cook, it must be tiring to wash dishes and waste time on cooking. But I assure you, in the city I spend much more time on this, on vacation everything is simple, without frills. We also take dishes that are easy to wash, without unnecessary recesses or patterns, partially disposable and preferably heavier so that they do not fly around.
  • This year it was generally hot in the south of Russia and on the coast too. In the period from 14 to 17 hours it was impossible to step on the sand with a bare foot, we pulled up the awnings and rested at this time under “shelter”: some were sleeping, some were reading. On our last trip we were at the end of August and it’s safe to say that it’s more comfortable to relax at the end of summer.
  • One day there was such a crazy wind that we lay clothed in the tent and were afraid that we would be blown into the sky along with it. It’s not a pleasant feeling; it’s impossible to even sleep with such noise from the sea and a “raging” tent.

MILITARY SLIDE next to a vacation spot at sea with a tent

This museum is located in the village of Temryuk. We visited it for the second time, this year on the 6th birthday of our son Gregory. This is an open-air museum of military equipment, located on both sides of the road. You have to pay a small amount for entry, I don’t remember exactly, 50 rubles for an adult, 10 or 20 for children. Taking into account the fact that I have two sons, they are fascinated by technology, including wartime technology: they run from the locomotive to the plane , climb on them, look into all the “holes”. I like that all the exhibits (with the exception of 2 or 3) can be touched, opened, stood on, or sat down. Of course, we need to watch the children very closely, because two years ago the eldest son, while closing one of the doors on the ship, pinched his finger very badly, we had to interrupt the excursion to provide him with medical assistance. I think that if the excursion was accompanied by a story from a knowledgeable person, I would give a solid rating of “5”.

SALT LAKE next to a vacation spot at sea with a tent

Near our anchorage there is a unique place, “Salt Lake”. In summer it dries out and in dry places, white salt crystals lie on the gray clay. People are more interested in liquid mud, it is salty and black in color. They say it helps for joints. All people apply smears, those who have pain and those who are not bothered at all, for prevention. Many people collect dirt in bottles, take it away and take it with them. We also smeared, “just in case” if there was such a free opportunity. Moreover, 300 meters from the lake there is a sea in which everyone washes. They come out clean and healthy.

CONCLUSION of a holiday at sea with a tent:

The three-day journey is tiring, although my children and husband disagree with me. The husband enjoys driving, the children either take pictures, eat, or watch movies on DVD. But a holiday at sea is worth it, because communication with nature, water procedures and sand foot baths are very useful. And the fruits did not arrive to you green for 3 days and then did not lie in warehouses for a long time, but were eaten by children almost “from the bush.”

Whether such a vacation is right for you can only be determined by trying it. There is a first time for everything.
